Monica Pierce, Principal for Instruction at Jackson High School has been in education for 23 years. She has been instrumental in creating/supporting several resources for all students at Jackson High School including: Sources of Strength, Most Teens Don’t, Restorative Practices, Laundry Services, Community Closet, and The Teen Health Center. She has been honored with awards for her commitment, leadership, and passion for youth in the Jackson Community: Elnora V. Moorman Dignity and Determination Award, 2021 Black Excellence Award, and the 2022 Dr. MLK Medal of Service Award. Monica is a board member for the Center for Family Health, along with many other boards and committees including My Brother’s Keeper- Jackson, which initiated our HYPE (Helping Young People Evolve) program for youth.
