During the early years of my career, I worked in a hospital, where I ultimately decided to pursue public health. After seeing patients consistently engage in behaviors that further exacerbated the progression of their illness, I realized I could take a more active role in healthcare. With a passion for public health, prevention, and children, I continued to engage with programs working to impact individuals' health positively.
As a former school-based health center manager, I have worked with school districts, principals, families, and community partners to serve a diverse population. We worked to advance child health initiatives through collaborative partnerships and positively impacted educational and health outcomes. Currently, I work on consulting initiatives and other programs to provide technical assistance to our national partners. It brings me joy to help others learn more about school-based health centers. When I am not working I enjoy making memories by exploring trails, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
