Keisha Pitts, JD is the director of state advocacy and policy at the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, where she develops, executes, and advises on advocacy strategies that advance the interests of National Council members within state government. Keisha works to implement Mental Health First Aid legislation in the states, collaborates with state associations and national organizations to implement the 9-8-8 National Suicide Prevention and Mental Health hotline, and advances improvements impacting telehealth, parity, workforce, and more. Keisha has extensive experience leading state advocacy efforts on behalf of healthcare providers and has played a key role in the passage of several historic state laws across the states and U.S. territories.
