Diana Chavez BSN, RN

Diana is a Senior Community Nurse working for the Florida Department of Health in Pinellas County. She has served as a COVID-19 vaccination leader for the State of Florida Strike Team since the beginning of the pandemic and later with the DOH for vaccination, testing, and case management for the homeless. Her experience in Community Health comes from her practice as Medical Doctor in Venezuela and Colombia, working with underprivileged populations. There, she learned to partner with others to empower the community and share responsibility. She left Venezuela due to the adverse political situation and decided to become a nurse to return to healthcare. She is working towards her Advance Practice degree in Psychiatric -Mental Health.
