As Director of Office of Strategic Business Operations (OSBO), Kate oversees four divisions that are responsible for internal and external communications, data, Customer Experience, and IT systems for BPHC. With a budget of over $40 million in IT and other federal contracts, OSBO supports BPHC in building a foundation of organizational excellence by optimizing the use of data, technology, communications and ensuring an exceptional customer experience for stakeholders. OSBO collaborates closely with internal stakeholders within BPHC and HRSA, Health Center Program awardees, and other external stakeholders to enhance the customer experience and advance BPHC’s operations.
Kate has worked in BPHC for over 16 years, serving in a number of different roles. Prior to her current role, she oversaw Health Center Program awardees in HHS regions 1 and 3, identified and addressed operational gaps, and directed BPHC-wide management information systems activities. Before entering federal service, Kate worked for a non-profit health care system where she managed a grant-funded breast cancer screening program and provided health education to her local community.
