As a Senior Counsel with Feldesman Tucker’s Labor & Employment Practice, H. Scott Johnson, Jr. maintains an active practice advising businesses and institutional clients on issues arising under federal and state employment law. His experience includes representing several Fortune 500 clients in employer-employee disputes arising under Title VII, the FLSA, the ADA, the FMLA, and the ADEA as well as issues pertaining to harassment, employment agreements, and restrictive covenants (such as contractual provisions that restrict an employee’s ability to compete, solicit, misappropriate trade secrets, or disclose confidential information). In addition to his employment practice, Mr. Johnson frequently serves in the capacity of an “outside general counsel,” where he counsels and advises businesses at all stages of the growth cycle on a broad range of issues including corporate formation and organization, business contracts, joint ventures, and corporate transactions. Mr. Johnson regularly conducts training on employment law topics as well as works closely with human resources and senior management in furtherance of mitigating the risk of litigation and reducing company exposure.
