Fredric Blavin, PhD, is a health economist and Principal Research Associate at Urban with expertise on areas such as the economic implications of health care reform for employers, providers, and consumers; health care and prescription drug spending trends; Medicare access; hospital finances; private health insurance markets; health information technology; child and maternal health; and Medicaid/CHIP policy. Before joining Urban, Blavin worked as an economist at the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology within the US Department of Health and Human Services.
