Dr. Edgar Chavez received his BS in Neuroscience from Pomona College and his MD from Stanford University. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at White Memorial Medical Center. Following his residency, Dr. Chavez decided to pursue his dream of serving the low-income community of South Central Los Angeles where he grew up following his immigration to the United States from El Salvador. Universal Community Health Center (UCHC) now has four FQHC clinic sites that serve more than 7,000 patients and provides 40,000 visits per year. Dr. Chavez’s passion is the integration of technology and medicine and how it can be leveraged to improve patient care.
