Dean Germano
Chief Executive Officer, Shasta Community Health Center
Dean Germano has been the CEO at Shasta Community Health Center (SCHC) since 1992. SCHC serves a 40,000 patients, a quarter of the population of Shasta County. Dean is the DIO for the Shasta CHC Family Practice Residency program, a 3-3-3 ACGME accredited Teaching Health Center funded program, started in 2013. Dean has also been involved in the creation of a Nurse Practitioner – Physician Assistant two year post-graduate Fellowship program. Dean was appointed as a Commissioner on the statewide California Future Healthcare Workforce Commission concluding its work with over 30 recommendations to State and private and related entities on strategies to mitigate the current and expected crises in clinical workforce in California.
