Alis Marachelian holds a master's in Public Health from The George Washington University and has been working in different capacities within the field of public health education, advocacy, prevention, and management with a diverse population of newcomers to this country for the last 20 years. Alis is the Senior Director for Community Health Initiatives and Strategic Alliances in the Community Health Education, Training, and Research Department at Mary’s Center, Inc., a distinguished Federally Qualified Health Center in the Washington DC metro area whose main mission is to build better futures through the delivery of health care, education, and social services. Parallel to her work at Mary’s Center, Alis provides leadership development coaching as a Certified Co-Active Professional Coach through her private company, Shift & Thrive Life Coaching, LLC. Alis grew up in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Boston, Massachusetts and she’s Armenian by heritage.
