William Brent, III

Mr. Brent is currently the CEO of SWLA Center for Health Services, headquartered in Lake Charles, LA, bringing more than 25 years of healthcare executive management experience. Prior to joining SWLA, Mr. Brent served as CFO at Iberia Comprehensive Community Health Center and spent 20 years as CFO for Teche Action Board, Inc. During his tenure at Teche, he was instrumental in developing and implementing new sites, negotiating 340B contracts, reorganizing the health center’s finance and billing departments, and securing funding for capital improvements and new construction projects. Mr. Brent is a current Board Member of the Louisiana Primary Care Association Accountable Care Organization and the Louisiana Healthcare Connections. Mr. Brent also serves as Regional Representative for Region VI of NACHC and is a member of NACHCs’ Subcommittee on Health Center Financing; Finance Committee; and Rural Health Care Committee. Mr. Brent holds an Accounting degree from Southern University A&M College.
