Vernetta Walker JD

Vernetta Walker, J.D., is Chief Governance Gladiator for Walker & Associates Consulting. She previously served as chief governance officer and senior advisor on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) for BoardSource, and over the last two decades has worked with nonprofit organizations nationally and globally. She also is an adjunct lecturer at Columbia University where she teaches Nonprofit Governance and DEI in the Nonprofit Sector. Vernetta serves on the board of directors of the D.C. Bar Foundation and is board co-chair of March for Our Lives. She received a Juris Doctor degree from Washington University School of Law, St. Louis, Missouri, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland.
