Dr. Patel is the Director of the Global Health Pathway in Internal Medicine within the Division of Medical Education. In the area of HIV and sexually transmitted diseases, her interests include implementing pre-exposure HIV prophylaxis (PrEP) among young adult men who have sex with men (MSM), in the larger effort to have zero new HIV infections in the future. She is also interested in health advocacy surrounding sexual minority health including LGBTQ individuals.
