Assistant Professor, Kaiser Permamente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine

Dr. Robert Sayoc Nocon is an Assistant Professor of Health Systems Science at the Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine. Dr. Nocon conducts research that focuses on cost and organization of healthcare in safety net settings. Much of his work leverages large administrative databases to examine the effectiveness of federal and state initiatives in Medicaid and the Federally Qualified Health Center program. Prior to his work as a researcher, Dr. Nocon served as a healthcare management consultant to academic medical centers and large integrated delivery systems, including Kaiser Permanente. Dr. Nocon holds a doctorate in Health Services Research from the University of Chicago, a master’s degree in Health Policy from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a bachelor’s degree in the History of Science from Harvard College.
