Rhonda Richards is currently a Senior Legislative Representative in Government Affairs at AARP. Rhonda advocates for older adults and their families in Congress and the Administration, focusing on supporting family caregivers, helping people live independently in their homes and communities, residential care, and post-acute care. She successfully advocated for provisions in federal law and regulations, including the RAISE Family Caregivers Act. Prior to her more than a decade at AARP, Rhonda served as staff in the U.S. Senate where she helped advance and enact bipartisan legislation including the Older Americans Act reauthorization that established the National Family Caregiver Support Program.
