Michael Echols is a cybersecurity evangelist, author, and CEO of a Kennedy Space Center-based nonprofit called IACI, and CEO of a for-profit company he founded called Max Cybersecurity LLC. He spent seven years in critical infrastructure protection and cybersecurity leadership at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Mike led several White House national security initiatives related to cyber threat, policy, and information sharing before resigning his position in September 2016. He is a former Chair of the Communications Sector – Chair of the Network Security Information Exchange and Designated Federal Official for the President’s NSTAC – 30 CEO-level members from Defense, IT, and Comm Sector companies making recommendations to the president.
