Matthew Hunter

Deputy Director, Regulatory Affairs, NACHC

Matthew is currently the Deputy Director, Regulatory Affairs at NACHC. Previously, he worked at CCI Health and Wellness Services in Silver Spring, Maryland where held the position of Associate General Counsel. His responsibilities included legal matters supporting the best interests of FQHCs, including contract negotiations, drafting, review/analysis, and experience with risk management. Matthew led workplace investigations, corporate legal compliance, strategic planning, employer-side employment law defense, federal audits, and development of policy surrounding public health emergencies and HRSA’s 340B Drug Pricing Program. He has significant experience with the Federal Tort Claims Act, HIPPA, the HITECH Act, and other key legislation. Further, Matthew has spent time working for several law firms and U.S. Attorney’s offices in North Carolina and the DC Metropolitan area. He has a BA in History from Virginia Tech, an MA in History from Old Dominion University, and a JD degree from North Carolina Central University School of Law.
