Lisa Lewis Person serves as the deputy national coordinator for operations and chief operating officer at the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology. In these positions, she is responsible for setting the strategic direction and providing executive oversight for program integrity, enterprise risk management, ethics, budget formulation and execution, grants and contracts management, international affairs, legislative affairs, human capital, information technology, the executive secretariat, and operational services. Over the course of Mrs. Person’s career, she has led the establishment of new organizations, developed enterprise-wide system solutions, created policies, implemented programs, and led large teams of subject matter experts.
Mrs. Person has received Secretary’s awards from both the Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Homeland Security, as well as a National Coordinator’s award. She also received a Gears of Government Award which recognizes federal employees across the government that play pivotal roles in achieving the vision of a modern, effective government that works on behalf of the American people.
