Larry Helms is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Valley-Wide Health Systems, Inc. in Alamosa Colorado. Valley-Wide is a Fully-Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that has 16 remote clinics in 9 different counties of southern Colorado, serving the medical, dental, physical therapy and behavioral health needs of many medically under-served populations. He is responsible for the organization’s Information Technology, Business Intelligence and Clinical Services/EHR Support groups. Larry has over 25 years of experience in the computer industry with 18 years in HealthCare IT serving in several positions such as Network Administrator, IT Manager, Interim IS Director and currently CIO. In a former life, Larry worked for 7 years as a Project Manager for a large commercial contractor in Salt Lake City, Utah.
