Julia Dempsey is the Program Associate of Environmental Health in the Population Division at the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC). Julia provides programmatic support to the Direct Relief Power for Health Grant Program and focuses on working with the CHARGE partnership to support outreach and education to community health centers about solar micro-grid power systems and backup battery systems. Before coming to NACHC, Julia interned for the Corn Refiners Association doing research on environmental policy and public health impacts of the corn wet milling industry. She also traveled to Jamaica and Costa Rica to work with underserved communities facing health disparities and environmental injustices during her time at Merrimack College. Julia has received her Master of Public Health from The George Washington University, concentrating in Environmental Health Science and Policy.
