Amit Limaye is as an Entrepreneurial, Inquisitive and Purpose-Driven individual. He comes to us from Becton Dickinson, where he is currently an Associate Director of Program Management supporting R&D activities. His role has dual responsibilities - that of innovation portfolio management; and leading complex, business-critical projects. He has led Innovation, Product Development, and Project Teams for majority of his 17 year career spanning both Medical Devices and Pharmaceuticals. He is an innovative thinker with more than 50 patents and patent applications in his name.
Outside of work, Amit likes to volunteer his time and skills to address issues related to Social Determinants of Health, specifically around healthcare access. He is vice-chairman of the Board of Directors at BVMI, Bergen Volunteer Medical Initiative, an organization that provides free healthcare for working Un-insured. In this role, he is responsible for leading the strategic planning activities of BVMI.
On a personal level, Amit enjoys sailing, reading a wide variety of topics, and vegetable gardening. He is a martial arts enthusiast, and has a black-belt in Taekwondo. He lives with his wife, son, and daughter in New Jersey, where they are very close to making their home a zero-waste-household.
