Alecia Cyprian, Ph.D. joined Southeast Community Health Systems as its chief executive officer in 2014. Since her appointment, Cyprian has provided strategic direction for the non-profit healthcare organization in communities of high need in four Southeast Louisiana parishes. She thrives on challenges, particularly those that expand the organization’s reach. Cyprian is a board of director and serves as immediate past president of the Louisiana Primary Care Association, on the Advisory Committee for Petra College, and on the National Association of Community Health Centers Legislative Committee and Co-Chair of the Health Center Excellence Training Committee. She also serves as Lead Mentor for the CEO Leadership Institute. Prior to joining Southeast, she worked in higher education for 18 years as a director, dean, and assistant vice president providing oversight of enrollment management and student finance in addition to having principal roles in ensuring state and federal program compliance. Cyprian earned a master’s degree and Doctor of Philosophy in Administration from the University of New Orleans.
