Dr. Ferguson is a board certified internal medicine physician with Albany Area Primary Health Care (AAPHC) in Albany, Georgia where she began her medical career in July 1992. She left clinical medicine in 2004 to serve as a project officer in the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, within NIH, from 2004 to 2009. In July 2009, she returned to AAPHC as a clinical physician. Dr. Ferguson received a BS degree in Zoology from Howard University (HU) in 1984, an MD degree in 1989 from HU College of Medicine, and an MPH from Emory in 2003. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore in 1992.
