Amy Behnke JD

Amy Behnke has served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Health Center Association of Nebraska (HCAN) for six years. HCAN represents Nebraska’s seven Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) who serve over 107,000 individuals across 70 service locations. In her role as CEO, Amy drives the strategic efforts of HCAN’s Board of Directors, staff and member to advance the health center movement in Nebraska. Amy currently serves as the Chair of the PCA Leadership Committee and represents the health centers on numerous state boards.

Prior to joining HCAN, Amy served as a partner at Brashear LLP, following her service as legal counsel to the Judiciary Committee of the Nebraska Legislature. She also served as chief lobbyist for Voices for Children in Nebraska, a nonprofit advocacy organization for children and families and is a former Legal Aid attorney. Amy is a graduate of Nebraska Wesleyan University and received her Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center.
