Paul is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Brightpoint Health, a non-profit, comprehensive health-and-wellness organization with over 180,000 patient visits annually and a focus on care for underserved populations. With an annual budget exceeding $90 million and over 800 employees, Brightpoint Health provides primary, mental, and dental health care in its multiple FQHCs, alongside support programs with 16 clinics and a total of 24 sites throughout The Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Staten Island, and Queens. Brightpoint Health also operates the largest Medicaid Health Home in New York State.
Paul has overseen over a four-fold growth in the organization’s revenues from $20 to $90 million. He propelled the opening of a state-of-the-art dental clinic, the transition of the health home clinics to FQHC status, and four new health home sites. He introduced a business development function in the organization and led the team in cultivating over 700 referral sources, to which much of the organization’s growth can be attributed, while also creating a quality management and organizational culture team. Under his leadership and with his strong focus on quality management, the Brightpoint Health Nursing Facility achieved a five star survey rating with no deficiencies (U.S. News and World Reports).
Paul has over 30 years of experience in provider and payor organizations, and throughout his career he's consistently been noted as an innovator and successful executive in a diverse range of medical fields, to include acute care, primary care, long-term care, home care, and health care consulting. He earned a bachelor’s degree in social welfare and psychology from State University of New York at Oneonta and a master’s degree in health and public administration from Long Island University.
