Dee Porter, a former assistant commissioner and chief operating officer for the Texas Department of State Health Services, joined OKPCA as CEO in May 2015. Dee, a native of Oklahoma City, has held numerous executive positions in public health, community health care, and government in Oklahoma and Texas. She has over 25 years in the nonprofit, public, and private sectors. Prior to assuming her position, Dee was chief people officer and deputy director for the Texas Department of Transportation, and was previously the chief operating officer of the Texas Department of State Health Services. She received undergraduate degrees in psychology from the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma City Community College and attended the Meinders School of Business at Oklahoma City University.
