Elizabeth Tumiel

Manager, Research and Academic Partnerships, Erie Family Health Center

Beth Tumiel is excited to join the team at Erie Family Health Centers to help promote health equity and improve access to healthcare in Chicago. She was the Program Director at Girls in the Game for seven years, advancing health and leadership in girls across the city. She worked in supportive housing and homeless services before joining Girls in the Game, engaging residents in participatory processes to improve their communities. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, she has focused her career on systems-focused and strengths-based work. Beth is an advocate for lifelong learning, acting as an adjunct instructor at the Jane Addams College of Social Work where she encourages students to think of social work practice as a creative endeavor. Beth wakes up at sunrise daily to walk her dog by the lake and takes any opportunity to see local theater and live music.
