Senior Consultant / Survey Data Team Lead, John Snow, Inc. (JSI)
Mr. Turer is a Senior Health Services Consultant at JSI, and the Data Team lead for the workforce survey project. He brings over 30 years of policy- and program-level experience dedicated to improving primary care access for medically underserved communities, and has directed some of JSI’s most prominent projects related to primary care access, quality, provider workforce adequacy, and the related safety net programs focused on these issues.
Mr. Turer plays a lead role in several projects related to workforce recruitment and retention, job satisfaction, and burnout at health centers. He is the Analytic Lead for JSI’s federal UDS reporting project, the HITEQ center for effective EHR use at health centers, and the STAR2 Recruitment and Retention Training and Technical Assistance Center, operated in collaboration with the Association of Clinicians for the Underserved (ACU). He has developed organization-specific data dashboards for these projects to provide health centers with unique access to their data, along with external trend and comparison/benchmark measures, to enable exploration and application of the information.
