Alyssa Puia, PharmD, RPH
Alyssa is a 2019 graduate of the University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy. Upon graduation she accepted a post graduate year-1 (PGY-1) community residency position at the Holyoke Health Center (HHC) in Holyoke, Massachusetts. As part of her residency year she participated in a grant program sponsored by the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) to address adult vaccine hesitancy. Now, as a clinical pharmacist at HHC, Alyssa provides medication therapy management (MTM) and other clinical pharmacy services to the HHC patient population as one of two bilingual pharmacists on staff. She is also involved in the precepting of pharmacy students and HHC’s three PGY-1 residents. Alyssa’s interests include vaccine hesitancy, cultural competence and type 2 diabetes management.
