Health centers are not immune to the risks of theft and fraud. Attendees will receive an overview of fraud risks, how they commonly occur in health centers, and practical steps that can be taken to decrease the chances of fraud and theft in their health center.

Learning Objectives

  • Define access, recording and monitoring job functions and internal control risks associated with individuals being able to perform functions in each area.
  • Demonstrate real examples of fraud that occurs in health centers and similar organizations.
  • Deliver practical ideas for effective segregation of job functions for smaller and larger organizations.
