Angela Powell directs the Office of Southern Health Services (OSHS) in HRSA’s Bureau of Primary Health Care. OSHS oversees program monitoring and grantee assistance for more than 700 Federally Qualified Health Centers, with a budget of more than $2 billion. Angela's past leadership roles include managing programs in HRSA’s HIV/AIDS Bureau and directing AIDS Support Services at the Whitman-Walker Health Clinic in Washington. She earned a BA degree in Life Sciences and a MPH degree in Health Administration from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Powell received the Certified in Public Health credential from the National Board of Public Health Examiners.
