Team Lead, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)

Emily Kane-Lee (she/her) is the Team Lead for the Health Center Development Team in the Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC) within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Service’s Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). Throughout her 20+ year career in public health, Emily has worked to increase access to health care for underserved and marginalized communities through patient and clinical education and technical assistance.

Prior to joining HRSA in 2016, Emily served as the Director of Education & Communications at the Association of Reproductive Health Professionals, the Education & Communications Manager at GLMA (previously known as the Gay & Lesbian Medical Association), and as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Kenya, among other roles. Emily received a BA in Communications and Women’s Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and an MA in Communications from the Johns Hopkins University. Emily is the Board President for the Reproductive Health Access Project and lives in Washington, DC with her wife, Allison.
