Anish Patel MD, MBA, MMM

Dr. Anish Patel most recently served as Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Executive Vice President for Transformation at Greater Baden Medical Services, a versatiles FQHC serving Southern Maryland. Dr. Patel is an accomplished physician executive who has committed his career to quality and equitable healthcare. At the core of his foundational values, is his fundamental belief that every patient must be treated with loving kindness. He has built his professional career transforming health systems to materialize this vision. At Greater Baden, Dr. Patel oversaw all clinicians, quality, clinical education, patient experience and EMR optimization. In addition, he accelerated operational excellence at Virginia Commonwealth University. There, Dr. Patel functioned as a dual Medical Director of Operations and Informatics. During his tenure as a Medical Informaticist, VCUHS transformed their EHR and cloud strategy with a ~$300 million investment. He implemented a comprehensive and multi-disciplinary COVID-19 reactivation plan. As a clinical leader, he chaired the Operational Excellence Committee and Co-Chaired the Quality and Outcomes Committee as well as advancing VCU's Continuing Medical Education strategy. Dr. Patel received both his M.D. and M.B.A. at Georgetown University and completed a Master of Medical Management at Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy.
