Carl Rush

Carl Rush has worked with CHWs for 21 years. He has advised CHW policy initiatives in more than 20 states, and groups of states for ASTHO and other national organizations. Carl directed a community college CHW program and delivered workshops on CHW supervisory skills in multiple states. He was a lead author on HRSA’s 2007 CHW National Workforce Study, and is currently working with the CDC on a national study on CHW certification, and starting another on the return from investment in CHW workforce development. Carl serves on the Interim Board of the new National Association of CHWs.
