Kara Onorato is currently pursuing her PhD in Public Policy and Leadership while holding the position of Chief Financial Officer with Unity Health Care, Inc. in Washington, D.C.. She has served in many leadership roles over her 23-year career. Most recently she was the Chief Financial Officer for DC Healthlink; DC’s state based marketplace for insurance under the Affordable Care Act. Kara also spent ten years within public education administration in Pennsylvania. As a transformational leader she has been able to lead organizations through various levels of strategic planning while helping them improve their culture, financial stability, and public image.
