Dear Colleague,

Welcome! For all of us, this has been an extraordinary year! And as we come together in virtual format for our Community Health Institute@Home, we want to thank each and every one of you for the INCREDIBLE work you are doing to save lives and to provide vitally needed health services to those most in need.

The Covid-19 pandemic has upended lives and disrupted the economy. Our health centers have been financially and operationally challenged in ways we never thought possible. Yet we have been able to persevere.

At the onset of the pandemic we moved swiftly together to:

  • Take steps to strengthen our organizations to meet coming challenges on the near horizon.
  • Make our voices heard and work together from coast to coast on an unprecedented scale.
  • Engage in concerted efforts and actions – aggressively pushing forward our priorities and needs for resources in a bold strategy to strengthen our nationwide network of Community Health Centers and build capacity to deal with the crisis before us.

We have made a great deal of progress.

Yet we know our work is not finished, nor is the coronavirus that continues to spread across the country. At the same time, we are looking inward to assess how we can strengthen the intersection of our health care mission and our commitment to health equity and social justice brought to the forefront by the Black Lives Movement.

Our strength has always been through our diversity and unity. That is why we have come together at this conference to focus not just on today, but on how we must prepare for tomorrow –“Sustaining the Health Center Mission for the Future.”

On behalf of the NACHC Board and Staff, thank you for your support of NACHC and your involvement and participation in this important conference!
