Uncontrolled hypertension is an important risk factor for heart disease and stroke, however many patients live with undiagnosed or uncontrolled hypertension. As one of the most important contributors to the prevention of heart disease and stroke, hypertension control represents an opportunity for improvement with significant benefits to individual patients and overall public health.
