Centene Corporation is committed to helping people lead healthier lives through our longstanding partnership with the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) and our work with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) across the U.S. We have been a Corporate Member and a Leader Sponsor of NACHC for the past 10 years.
Although we are a Fortune 25 company that’s grown to serve more than 25 million members domestically and internationally, we still take great pride in our local approach. We are a multi-national enterprise providing high-quality managed care services at a low cost, allowing local teams to deliver healthcare tailored to the individuals in their communities. Through strategic partnerships, we work to equip underinsured and uninsured people with fully integrated government-sponsored and commercial healthcare.
We know that every community faces unique challenges, which is why each of our health plans are developed and staffed locally. Through our partnerships with FQHCs, hospitals, and physicians, we offer better solutions for better outcomes at lower costs.
Centene is the only managed care Leader Sponsor of NACHC’s annual events, including the Policy and Issues Forum, the Financial, Operations Management, and IT Conference, and of course, the Community Health Institute & Expo. Our team has participated in these events and many others over the years.
In 2020, we announced the creation of our Medicaid Telehealth Partnership with NACHC, a new initiative to expand telehealth solutions at FQHCs. Through this partnership, we donated $5 million towards the purchase of equipment, supplemental training, and technical assistance. These expanded resources will help address capacity needs brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic and provide a way for vulnerable populations to receive the care they need. Centene and NACHC continue to work together to strengthen our nation’s telehealth infrastructure and lobby for effective regulatory and policy change.
