Community Civic Engagement Program Associate, Vot-ER

Whitney Roach, MPH, RN, BSN is the Community Civic Engagement Program Associate at Vot-ER. For the past decade, Whitney has worked as a registered nurse in underserved communities in Philadelphia, serving in both primary care and behavioral health settings. Prior to working at Vot-ER, Whitney worked at Public Health Management Corporation, Philadelphia’s leading nonprofit provider of public health resources, managing the patient-centered medical home program for PHMC’s six federally-qualified health centers. She also developed a community-based care management program for high-risk patients, implementing comprehensive care management initiatives to address patients’ barriers to health while improving health outcomes. This March, she completed her Masters of Public Health at Drexel University and has shifted her focus towards policy and advocacy with a One Health approach. Whitney is passionate about the health of our planet and passionate about the health of all people, and believes informed civic engagement and education is paramount to health equity and health justice.
