Tara Plese is the Chief External Affairs Officer for the Arizona Alliance for Community Health Centers (AACHC). Her responsibilities include directing government and media relations at the state, federal and local levels. That includes working with legislators, members of Congress, the Governor’s office as well as the state and federal agencies that impact Community Health Centers. She advocates for access to quality, affordable, integrated, primary health care.
Tara serves on a variety of boards and committees for health care; including the State Medicaid Advisory Committee, the State Medicaid Policy Committee, Asian Pacific Communities in Action, National Association for Community Health Centers' Rural Health Committee and Legislative Committee, and is a former member of the NACHC Board of Directors, She is also the recipient of the 2019 NACHC Henry Fiumelli Patient Advocate Award.
She graduated from ASU with a bachelors’ degree in Political Science and a Master’s degree in Public Administration.
