Susan M. Huang, MD, is the Chief Medical Officer of America’s Physician Groups, a national association of 360 physician-led organizations caring for 90 million Americans with 170,000 physicians committed to providing value-based, coordinated care with accountability for both cost and quality. At APG, Dr. Huang leads advancements in care model best practices and serves as APG’s clinical liaison with government agencies, hospital systems, health plans, and other partner organizations.
Dr. Huang brings deep knowledge of safety net care delivery systems. For over a decade, she served as CMO and practicing physician of Asian Health Services, a FQHC in California, where she not only successfully expanded its care and operating capacities through program innovations, workforce development, technology and data integration, but also grew its community-based participatory research team and partnerships. A board-certified internist, Dr. Huang is also an active practicing primary care faculty at her local county medical center. She completed her medical degree and residency at UCSF and pursued her undergraduate and graduate mechanical engineering degrees at MIT.
