Dr. Stockton Mayer practices in the Division of Infectious Diseases at UI Health, specializing in treating patients infected with HIV and infectious agents acquired in tropical regions. He also treats patients who experience infections in the setting of other immunocompromising conditions.
Dr. Mayer has a clinical and research interest that includes underserved populations in Chicago and abroad. In Chicago, he delivers innovative mobile care via a treatment van for patients who inject drugs. Abroad, he works with collaborators in Guatemala to develop and sustain HIV care in resource limited settings. Dr. Mayer is involved in clinical research studies including COVID-19 treatment studies and HIV therapeutic trials.
Dr. Mayer attended The Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and did his residency and fellowship at University of Illinois at Chicago.
