Steven Pine grew up in Delaware where he graduated with his BA with distinction in biology from the University of Delaware. He went on to earn his DDS degree at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and complete an oral surgery clerkship program. Dr. Pine elected to complete a general practice residency at The Queens Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, while participating in the Craniofacial Cleft Clinic and Head and Neck Tumor Board. After practicing in both the public and private sectors, Dr. Pine returned to the public sector in 2018. Dr. Pine serves as the Chief Dental Officer for the Hawaii Island Community Health Center on the Big Island of Hawaii. He is actively involved in both the state and island-based Oral Health Coalition and currently serves as the advocacy co-chair for the state Oral Health Coalition. When he is not practicing dentistry or advocating for oral health, Dr. Pine likes to spend time with his wife and children, SCUBA dive, hike, and go to the beach.
