Shannon Lea is a Senior Program Manager on the Clinical and Quality Partners team at Primary Care Development Corporation (PCDC). She joined PCDC in 2022 to support the needs of primary care, behavioral health, and sexual and reproductive health providers.
Prior to joining PCDC, Shannon was the Director of Revenue Cycle Management at Planned Parenthood South Atlantic, which serves patients in NC, SC, VA, and WV. She was responsible for the direction and coordination of the overall functions of the revenue cycle, ensuring compliance within the billing function of all regulations and contracts, and the maximization of cash flow through the development of sound procedures. Shannon also oversaw grant and pledge funding for low-income and marginalized populations to ensure access to quality reproductive healthcare. She previously managed the Personal Care Services (PCS) Program at North Carolina’s Department of Health and Human Services where she guaranteed that the day-to-day operations of the program functioned efficiently. Shannon also provided oversight of the PCS Program’s $400M operating budget and managed the multimillion-dollar Independent Assessment Entity and IT vendor contracts.
Shannon holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Education and Promotion, a Master of Public Health degree, and a Certificate in Ethnic and Rural Health Disparities, all from East Carolina University.
