Samantha (Sam) Burch is Director of Government Relations for OCHIN where she is responsible for driving
OCHIN’s national reputation to advance the organization’s mission to provide knowledge solutions that
promote quality, affordable health care for all. In this role, she works to define and develop OCHIN’s
government relations agenda and cultivates strategic relationships with key policymakers and influencers
in Washington, DC. Sam regularly represents OCHIN at policy forums, meetings with government officials,
private sector leaders, and multi-stakeholder forums.
Prior to joining OCHIN, Sam served as Director of Health Information Technology Policy for the American
Hospital Association. She has also served as Senior Director, Congressional Affairs, for HIMSS, Vice
President, Legislation and Health IT at the Federation of American Hospitals and as a healthcare aide and
press secretary for a Member of Congress.
Sam received a Master of Arts degree in government from the Johns Hopkins University in Washington,
DC and a Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations from The Ohio State University.
