Phillip Bergquist is the Health COO at the Michigan Primary Care Association, directing the Association’s finance, revenue cycle, operations, workforce and enabling services support strategies for CHCs and providing leadership for many of MPCA’s strategic value transformation, payment reform, and policy initiatives. Prior to working for MPCA, Phillip was the COO at Honor Community Health. Phillip also served as the Manager of Policy and Strategic Initiatives for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS). Phillip received his Bachelor’s degree from Rochester College and completed his Community Health Center Executive Fellowship through the University of Kansas. Phillip has been recognized as a 2011 CMS Excellence in Children’s Health Outreach and Enrollment Honoree, 2012 Recipient of MPCA’s Outstanding Leadership Award, 2014 Nominee for the Geiger Gibson Emerging Leader Award, and 2018 Recipient of the State of Michigan Symbol of Customer Service.
