Nivedita Mohanty MD

Dr. Mohanty is the Chief Research Officer at AllianceChicago and a physician with 15 years of experience in community health, research, academic medicine, and international volunteerism. Dr. Mohanty joined AllianceChicago in 2015 after a year in Washington, DC as a Fellow in the Smart and Connected Health program, jointly supported by the National Science Foundation and National Institutes of Health. As a fellow within a federal agency, she gained firsthand exposure to synergies of research, policy, and practice and role of Health Information Technology (HIT) in advancing national health priorities. Dr. Mohanty works closely with CHCs in the Alliance network to leverage the HIT infrastructure and partnerships to support high quality care in community health and to generate new evidence through community-driven research, quality improvement, and innovations initiatives. Dr. Mohanty is an Associate Professor at Northwestern University and provides patient care at Erie Family Health Center and Ann and Robert Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Mohanty has joined international medical initiatives to serve patients in 10 countries.
