Michael Brooks

Dr. Michael W. Brooks has provided executive leadership to The Family Health Centers of Georgia, Inc., since 1987. In August 2010, Dr. Brooks was appointed to the position of President & CEO. Prior to this appointment, Dr. Brooks held integral positions of Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Medical Officer and Chief Information Officer. Dr. Brooks is an accomplished board-certified internal medicine physician with a passion for business. He graduated with honors from the University of Alabama with a pre-med degree. He received his M.D. degree from the University of Alabama, Birmingham, AL, and completed his internal medicine internship and residency at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA. Dr. Brooks earned a Master of Business Administration from Emory University, in Atlanta, GA. His former and current professional affiliations include the Board of Directors for NACHC, 100 Black Men of Atlanta, the Professional Investment Club of Atlanta, Atlanta Society Member, the Atlanta Medical Association, National Medical Association, American Medical Association and the University of Alabama Alumni Association.
