Melissa Stratman

Coleman is headed by Melissa Stratman and is based in Boulder, CO. Melissa is a national healthcare improvement and leadership consultant with 31 years of healthcare experience; 24 years with Coleman. Coleman focuses on developing process improvement strategies, leadership dynamics, and forward-thinking in health center leadership. As a well-respected industry thought leader, Melissa has helped hundreds of health centers across all 50 states to make critical improvements to their processes, their data-driven decision-making, their staffing models, and their leadership dynamics which improve their bottom lines, staff morale, outcomes, and patient satisfaction. Melissa’s breadth of expertise from payors, to clinical care, diversity, and administration provides ripple effects that create noticeable, meaningful changes that are felt from the front desk to the exam rooms and from the board room to the patient living rooms. Melissa started with Coleman when she was a pre-Med student and the team leader of her health center’s process redesign team in 1999. As CEO, Melissa has shepherded Coleman’s growth and developed many firsts: a performance Dashboards program for clients, a tailored model for private practices, a tailored specialty care access program, a concretized Tactical Nurse™ training program, the Indispensible MA program, and architectural partnerships. Melissa founded the nationally utilized online training program (www.Vroom.Training) and began the development of Coleman’s video training tools. Besides her clinical skills and experience in the public health setting, Melissa has also worked for an insurer, a healthcare marketing firm, and in the hospital setting where she developed a Cultural Diversity and Interpretive Services Department. Melissa speaks Spanish fluently.
