Maria Rodriguez has a master’s degree in Demography from the Graduate School of Public Health at the University of Puerto Rico. During her studies, Ms. Rodriguez first worked with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC’s) supporting their Community Health Needs Assessments. This experience created an understanding of their important role as the healthcare safety net system in Puerto Rico. In 2019 she joined the Puerto Rico Primary Care Association in the role of Emergency Preparedness Coordinator. She currently serves as a Public Health Specialist, supporting FQHC’s continuity of operations, Emergency Preparedness efforts, recovery, and response to frequent and ongoing natural and public health emergencies.
